"The Great 8" is a tribute to the past, the present, and the future. In college, Ameer Abdullah wore number 8 for the University of Nebraska, where he went down in history. Currently, Ameer wears number 8 for the Las Vegas Raiders. The number 8 also represents infinity, or in other words, the infinite.
